to actors head movements
The 3D animation in this TVC was a team effort and was divided into two main parts: head tracking or 'match moving', and modelling and animation. AARONS CGI handled the head tracking component to accurately match the head movements of the actors in the original footage. Once this was done the CG antlers created by Pixelbox appear to stick to the actors heads as they grow out from their scalps. The result is totally seamless and believable - even at the full HD image size.
The final animation turned out to be nothing short of jaw-dropping. The spot can currently be seen on MTV and on various Australian commercial TV networks.
AARONS CGI has created 3D models and animation for a variety of TV commercials and a TV series on Channel 31. Most notable is the ad for Felco - Swiss-made gardening tools. The ad showcases a variety of products and brings them to life in a stylish and eye-catching way.
UNIVERSITY OF BALLARAT Open Day TVC
Helping the public to remember an important date can be a challenge. But with a good idea and some 3D wizardry this can be achieved to great effect. The University of Ballarat were able to get their Open Day message across in a fun and creative way in a 30 second TV spot.
DORITOS'MOCK' TVC
From time to time AARONS CGI dabbles in non-commercial projects. Smiths Chips held a competition to create a fun and original TVC idea for their product Doritos. We just couldn't resist the chance to enter our attempt which was made entirely in 3D - even if we didn't win. GOT ONE Television commercial
AARONS CGI also creates high-impact graphics for the fishing store franchise Got One including a highly realistic Easter egg that hops into the scene and cracks open, a realistic computer generated Barramundi, the 'flapping fish' logo and many others. It all makes for an energetic campaign that helps the franchise standout from its competitors.

THE GARDEN TAPTelevision program
AARONS CGI also edited 18 episodes and created graphical inserts for the TV series The Garden Tap, a popular gardening show on Channel 31, and regional TV Victoria. "Roger Aarons is a talented editor... His work lifted and improved the show enormously." Margot McDonald Executive Producer. Of particular note was a special episode featuring an animated olive character that danced along with the tap dancing host.
DERMAVEEN Eczema cream TVC
This animation was made for a TV commercial in Canada. It demonstrates the effectiveness of a skin cream that helps prevent drying and cracking of the skin, or Eczema.
